Job description

Our Client, a Silicon Valley startup that teaches over a million children worldwide to speak English with their voice-based virtual tutor, is now looking for a Lead Data Analyst to join their team.

About the project:

Headquartered in Mountain View, California, the company has a growing international team combining expertise in voice and virtual human technologies, education, and game design.
It's an artificial intelligence English voice tutor for children. With the help of AI and voice technology, the company gives children the practice of speaking English. The project holds multiple international awards and nominations, including GESA (Global Edtech Startup Awards) in London, EnlightEd in Madrid, Voice Summit Awards in New York, among others. In addition, the application is the #1 app for kids on the App Store and Google Play.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Optimize and enhance existing data analysis infrastructure
  • Take ownership of Buddy's data, ensuring its consistency and reliability. Be the go-to person for all things data-related
  • Create insightful reports and dashboards that help stakeholders make informed decisions
  • Lead the A/B testing process, working with stakeholders to design, implement, and analyze experiments
  • Dive deep into data to uncover business and product insights, generating hypotheses to improve key metrics
  • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to develop predictive metrics for faster decision-making
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the company, empowering teams to make informed decisions
  • Work with various data visualization tools like Tableau and Amplitude to bring data to life

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive data analysis experience
  • Transforms complex data into compelling narratives that drive action
  • SQL Ninja, ETL scripting, DWH data pipelines. Organizes daily dashboards for the team
  • Sees the big picture and connects data dots to achieve high-level business goals
  • Personally offers ideas based on data to impact the business or inspire product and marketing teams. Independently analyzes data to generate insights for the
  • Product and Marketing Team
  • Takes initiative, proposes solutions, and acts without waiting for detailed instructions
  • Strives for excellence, aiming to work with A-players and learn from the best
  • Able to set up an Analytics team from scratch
  • Survives in a startup environment
  • Proficiency in English. Russian is a plus.
