About The Team
The Device Analytics team is a distinct part of the broader Engineering Organization. While belonging to a close-knit central team, each Life360 Analyst partners with one or more business units on a long-term basis: in Product, Device Sales, Marketing, Engineering or Finance.
Each Analyst has the opportunity to combine their own expertise with our substantial data resources to contribute as a thought leader, establish domain expertise and develop cross-functional partnership to solve business problems for the company.
About the Job
We are looking for a Lead Analyst to play a critical role in shaping the future of our Life360 ecosystem. As an integral part of the Analytics team at Life360, you will work closely with Product Management, Device Sales and the leadership team to help define our Device short/long term strategy. Your role will focus on identifying new business opportunities and enhancing organizational value through data analysis, experimental design, and collaboration with cross-functional partners.
Utilizing your skills in analytics and technical proficiency, you will leverage our distinct geolocation, mobile app, hardware and sales data to tackle key questions about business strategies and product effectiveness. Your mission includes not only daily analytical tasks but also contributing to strategic decisions that shape our product direction.
The ideal candidate is motivated by the potential of data to influence product development and drive business growth, adept at translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic narratives. With a strong foundation in data analysis, technical skills, and a keen understanding of the product landscape, you'll be pivotal in guiding our product strategy.
The US-based salary range for this position is $124,500 to $183,500. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You Will Do
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and customers, with a specific emphasis on driving Device growth through the application of data-driven insights and active engagement through visualization, presentation, and compelling storytelling.
- Drive a culture of rigorous experimentation, in part through design and collaboration of A/B tests, to both discover new opportunities and optimize user experience and conversion rates.
- Partner with the Data Engineering team on technical requirements to enable data availability, data quality, and integrity for analytics and the broader self-service usage across the organization.
- Function as a thought leader in the field of Analytics, contributing internally and externally to the development of the Life360 Data Analytics brand.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics, specifically within consumer internet, mobile, or digital products,
- Proficient in SQL, Python/R, and cloud analytics technologies (MySQL, AWS, Presto, Athena, Redshift, Hive, Teradata), with a strong grasp of statistical concepts and data wrangling.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex product problems, turning insights into actionable strategies through effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting data-driven insights to diverse audiences using tools like Tableau.
- Proven project management abilities and a track record of leading analytics projects that drive business growth.
- Excellent at communicating complex data insights through visualization tools (Tableau, Amplitude, Mode, Looker, Jupyter, Excel etc.) to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field, with proven project management skills in driving analytic projects.
