Description

This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.

The Staffing Coordinator will be a remote position. This position does require travel to Special Events across the US including, but not limited to, numerous Golf Tournaments, Boat Shows, concerts, raceways, and more. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist with the coordination of hiring new employees, this includes but is not limited to – job postings, upkeep of posts, phone screens, scheduling interviews, hiring in Paycom, and onboarding.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding programs for all hourly new hires.
  • Responsible for managing and scheduling travel staff 
  • Attending events to assist with employee check in, event day operations, and be a Human Resources presence to staff, including but not limited to, filing incident reports, assisting with disciplinary action, upholding policies, tracking and overseeing employee files.
  • Assist in communicating with staffing agencies to ensure accurate schedules and quantities
  • Assist with recruitment & retention of NPO volunteer groups to help staff S&E events
  • Assisting with payroll as directed
  • Help coordinate and communicate travel plans for all employees attending upcoming events including coordinating airfare, lodging, and car rentals. 
  • Must be available to work 20-30 hours per week on non-travel weeks
  • Performs other related duties as required. 
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Staffing, with preferred experience in Food & Beverage/Hospitality, and/or stadiums, amphitheaters, or convention centers is needed
    • Experience recruiting and working with Non-For-Profit groups is a plus 
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Hospitality or related field is preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically throughout the year
    • Anywhere from 8-10 events per year
    • Typical trips are from 8-14 days in length
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, written and verbal communication, and teamwork.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to rent and drive cars, and be able to operate a golf cart
  • Understanding of basic HR best practices.

Work Environment  
Non-travel days: This position is a remote position
During travel: Events will be in an outdoor setting with movement between temporary structures, buildings, and semi loading trucks. This position will often operate golf carts, walk across uneven surfaces, and climb stairs as needed.

Physical Demands: 

  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items 
  • At times there will be prolonged times of sitting and computer usage.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits:

  • This is considered a part-time position with a pay rate of $25/hour. 
    • The working schedule will be dependent upon event/travel schedule
