Job description

The Krazy Coupon Lady (KCL) is a female-founder-owned publisher on a mission to be a shopping non-negotiable, unapologetically helping our readers maximize their money, and seize the deal. Our team of shopping experts curates and hand-tests nearly a thousand deals per week, so there is always something new to discover each time you visit our website, app, and your inbox.

You may have noticed that our headquarters are in Boise, ID, but our workforce is fully remote in the following states: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania,  South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin. All team-wide meetings are scheduled to be inclusive of U.S. time zones.

We are seeking an innovative, hands-on, and results-driven Senior Director of Social Strategy to both lead and create alongside our social media teams across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook Groups, and other emerging platforms. This role is central to amplifying KCL’s reach, fostering community engagement, and driving measurable growth. You will help build a high-performing team of full-time and contract staff operating on a 24/7 schedule to ensure high-volume content production aligns with our brand and business goals. It’s important to note that this role is not charged with content strategy; rather, it’s about the strategy and tactics to maximize the content KCL creates on social. As a publisher, our Content team creates many hundreds of pieces of content per day. With the help of an algorithm, they prioritize which pieces of content will receive promotion on our various owned and social channels. In building and inspiring a team that thrives on the nonstop energy of KCL’s deal-chasing world, you’ll cultivate a culture that embraces the joy of discovery, helping the team channel that excitement into social content that turns deal-hunting with KCL content at its core, into an irresistible daily ritual for our shoppers.

Key Responsibilities:

Maximize Reach
  • Build the systems and KPIs to ensure we’re maximizing the reach of every post.
  • Lead a team that understands the power of great copy and creative—how one social post can be the difference between reaching 1,000 people or 100,000.
  • Create a North Star focused on making the most out of every opportunity, every deal, every hour.
  • Balance the right blend of experimentation and repurposing winning strategies to create social content that drives big results.

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to maximize reach and engagement by platform and audience.
  • Identify and prioritize new social platforms and trends to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (content, retention marketing, and sales) to align social efforts with company objectives.
  • Lead by example in producing engaging written and video content across all platforms.

  • Team Management
  • Manage a team of social media managers, mentor and develop content creators, fostering a performance-driven culture of excellence.
  • Oversee scheduling, workflows, and output of full-time and contract staff to ensure 24/7 live content coverage.
  • Implement performance metrics and analytics to track individual impact.

  • Production Oversight
  • Guide the production of high-impact, platform-specific social content—driven by our content leads and tailored to the unique characteristics of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and other channels—to drive awareness, engagement, and clicks to key URLs and topics, ultimately fueling channel growth and revenue.
  • Maintain brand consistency and tone across all social media efforts, with a heavy focus on creating content that feels native (not like an ad/brand) to each platform.
  • Leverage data and insights to refine content strategies and maximize audience engagement.

  • Community Engagement
  • Build and nurture highly engaged communities, including Facebook Groups, to drive loyalty and advocacy.
  • Respond to audience feedback and trends in real-time to maintain relevancy and responsiveness.
