Management Accountant

Position: Management Accountant Senior Executive
Location: Kelaniya (On Site)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Role Description
We are looking for a full-time, on-site Management Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling financial management tasks, creating financial reports, analyzing data, and providing insights to assist in business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring all accounting records comply with accepted standards.
• Prepare monthly reporting packs and ensure financial practices comply with accounting policies.
• Maintain relationships with the parent company in Australia.
• Perform overhead control and variance analysis.
• Provide management with required financial information and recommendations for decision-making.
• Maintain the management accounting database to ensure accuracy and timely updates for financial reporting.
• Prepare the annual budget and Long Range Plan (LRP) for the SBU, collaborating with internal teams.
• Ensure costing statements and valuations are up to date.
• Support annual audits and other financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Perform additional duties as requested by management.
• Liaise and manage accounts for Artisans Madagascar SARL, working remotely with the Madagascar finance team.

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in financial management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACA / CIMA UK) is required.

Key Skills - Must Have

• Proficiency in English and Sinhala.
• Ability to converse, understand, and maintain dialogue in English.
• Experience in handling plant accountants and remote finance teams.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines (e.g., month-end).
