We empower businesses and financial institutions with cutting-edge FX risk management, embedded finance, and cross-border payment solutions. As we expand into the German market, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth, establish partnerships, and open doors to new opportunities.


Your Role

As Business Development Manager, Germany, you will be Okoora’s foot on the ground—building relationships, closing deals, and expanding our presence in the German market. This is a hands-on, execution-driven role that requires strong local industry expertise, a powerful network, and a deep understanding of the fintech, payments, and FX landscape.


What You’ll Do

  • Drive Direct Sales: Identify, pitch, and close deals with financial institutions (banks, fintechs, payments providers, FX brokers, investment firms).
  • Build & Scale Partnerships: Develop distribution channels by onboarding insurance agencies, CPAs, accounting firms, tax advisors, and financial software distributors.
  • Act as Okoora’s Representative in Germany: Be the face of Okoora in client meetings, industry events, and strategic discussions.
  • Market Expansion & Lead Generation: Identify new opportunities, initiate conversations, and develop a strong pipeline of prospects.
  • Develop Local Brand Awareness: Engage with key stakeholders, speak to media when necessary, and position Okoora as a leading player in the German fintech ecosystem.
  • Execute Okoora’s Go-to-Market Strategy: Implement our defined growth plan, ensuring high conversion rates from prospecting to deal closure.

Requirements

  • Industry Expert: 5-8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales in banks, payment providers, FX platforms, or fintech companies.
  • Strong Local Network: You already have strong relationships in the German financial industry and can leverage them to open doors quickly.
  • Sales & Partnerships Driven: You thrive in a sales-heavy role and are comfortable both closing deals and building strategic partnerships.
  • German Native Speaker: You can confidently communicate with clients and partners in German.
  • Startup Mindset: Comfortable working remotely, independently, and in a high-growth environment with no local team support.
