General Accountability:


The Market Development Director will be responsible for driving market expansion and business development efforts to increase the adoption and market presence of Profound Medical's products within the assigned region. This role requires a strong background in sales strategy, business development, and market access within the medical device industry.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to expand market presence and increase product adoption.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including healthcare providers, hospital administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales objectives and drive business growth.
  • Product Promotion: Develop and execute promotional activities and campaigns to increase product awareness and adoption.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, clinical affairs, and regulatory, to align market development strategies with overall business goals.

    Education and Certification:


    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, health sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.


    Key Attributes (experience, skills and technical knowledge):


    • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, business development, or market access within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
    • Skills: Strong sales acumen, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a proven track record of successful business development.
    • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the U.S. healthcare market, sales strategies, and market access dynamics.
