Solution Architect

We are looking for a Solution Architect to design, plan, and integrate IT system components, including hardware, software, and services. The role involves defining architecture frameworks, ensuring security by design, and supporting IT strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement long-term strategies in business processes, information, applications, and technology.
• Define and design as-is and to-be models for IT domains.
• Develop architecture frameworks, concepts, and methodologies.
• Analyse and document existing IT architectures and recommend improvements.
• Support development teams with architectural guidance and best practices.
• Communicate and explain architectural deliverables to stakeholders.
• Create and maintain models in Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar tools.
• Ensure security-by-design principles are embedded in IT solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive records of usability requirements.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of IT products.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation.
• Programming and scripting experience.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and methods (e.g., TOGAF).
• Strong knowledge of architecture practices in at least one domain (business process, information, application, or technology).
• Proficiency in modelling languages (e.g., ArchiMate).
• Experience in team collaboration and IT consulting.

Additional Skills (Advantageous):

• Familiarity with big data, cloud solutions (Azure), and artificial intelligence.
• Experience with enterprise transformation projects.
• Background in designing and implementing IT strategies.
• Knowledge of IT architecture tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect).
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education & Professional Experience:

• University degree (minimum 6 years of IT experience) OR non-university degree (minimum 12 years of IT experience).
• At least 3 years of experience in enterprise or domain architecture (business process, information, application, or technology).

Certifications (Optional):

• TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework).
• SABSA (Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture).
• ArchiMate Certification.
