About the role

We’re looking for a Head of Sales Development to drive awareness of Firebolt and build a high-performing team to fuel our pipeline growth. This role is perfect for a leader with exceptional people skills, strategic thinking, and a hands-on attitude who is passionate about developing top talent and delivering results. Your team will play a critical role in generating qualified meetings for the sales organization and driving pipeline growth through both inbound and outbound efforts. This global role can be located anywhere in the US and offers to build and manage teams across the US, EMEA and APAC.

About the day to day

  • Own and exceed goals for generating qualified sales meetings via a mix of inbound and outbound activities.
  • Lead, manage, and scale a growing global team of SDRs across the regions.
  • Hire, train, and coach your team to ensure they perform at the highest level and develop their careers.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize the team’s performance, increase efficiency, and improve processes.
  • Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to provide feedback on campaign performance, messaging, and lead quality to further refine and optimize campaigns.
  • Take a hands-on approach when necessary to ensure the team’s success and deliver results.
  • Deploy AI-driven tools to handle time-consuming activities such as account research, lead enrichment, and initial outreach, allowing the team to focus on high-value conversations and strategic engagement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales development leadership roles, ideally in a B2B SaaS company.
  • A proven track record of hitting and exceeding pipeline and meeting booking goals.
  • Exceptional people leadership skills with experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing teams.
  • Highly data-driven mindset, with strong analytical skills to optimize processes and performance.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • A strong sense of urgency, motivation, and a “can-do” attitude to tackle challenges head-on.
  • Experience in the big data, analytics, or developer space (advantage).
  • Highly proficient with the latest AI tools with demonstrated ability to leverage AI for the role’s specific purposes.
  • A great sense of humor - an advantage!

The pay range listed below reflects the base salary for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. As part of our compensation philosophy, the total compensation is tailored to each candidate and influenced by factors such as job-related skills, level of experience, relevant certifications, and geographical location, to name a few.

Local Pay Range - 280-000 - 340,000 per year USD
