We seek a skilled and proactive Senior Data Analyst to join the Highland Fleets team. Our vehicles and chargers generate a wealth of data, and this role focuses on making sense of it to drive business insights and operational improvements. Ideal candidates thrive in dynamic environments where priorities shift frequently, excel at creating KPIs and measurements to solve complex problems, and can successfully leverage creativity and technology to streamline processes and generate impactful insights.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze enterprise data, write SQL/Python scripts to aggregate and process data from multiple sources, and build dashboards to visualize key metrics across business verticals. You’ll become a subject matter expert on data systems and quality, using this expertise to uncover patterns, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights. Your ability to “transform raw data into meaningful insights,” will empower business partners across the organization to make smart decisions.
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will ensure that your work adheres to best practices for quality, optimization, and reusability. You’ll deliver analyses that are contextualized, data-driven, and relevant, while maintaining dashboards that adapt to evolving business needs. You will break down complex business requirements into actionable technical tasks, delivering results incrementally to align with shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis & Process Automation: Execute complex and performant SQL/Python scripts to analyze enterprise data, delivering actionable insights for daily and strategic business needs. Leverage Python to design and implement automated workflows that reduce manual effort and enhance team efficiency.Advanced Analytics & Experimentation: Explore and apply data science techniques, such as predictive modeling or clustering, to identify patterns, solve longer-term business challenges, and elevate the sophistication of team analyses.Stakeholder Collaboration & Representation: Represent the team in cross-functional meetings, gathering input, aligning priorities, and effectively communicating insights and progress to stakeholders. Work independently on assigned projects, keeping leadership informed of key results.Dashboard Development & Maintenance: Build and maintain dynamic dashboards to visualize metrics across business verticals. Ensure dashboards remain accurate and relevant as business needs evolve, enabling data-driven decision-making.Required Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field. Equivalent experience in a data-focused role will also be considered.Technical Expertise: 2+ years of demonstrated experience in SQL and Python, including data extraction, transformation, analysis, and process automation. Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and data science techniques is a plus.Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets to uncover patterns, build models, and communicate insights effectively through data storytelling.Self-Sufficiency & Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and projects. Demonstrated comfort in owning tasks end-to-end, from scoping to execution, while keeping leadership informed of progress.Collaboration & Communication: Ability to present findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
