The Director, Product and Sales Strategy (Clinical Reasoning) will lead the strategy in identifying valuable market solutions and growth opportunities, collaborating in account strategy development, and working closely with the Sales team to develop and support the sales strategy for Clinical Reasoning’s product suite(s). This role will build strong relationships with internal teams and assigned client(s) by developing a deep understanding of the product(s), client business needs and goals, and working closely with executives and internal cross-functional teams to define, build, launch, and continually improve products and features to support Smile Digital Health’s commitment to excellent customer experience and Better Global Health.
Primary FunctionsDevelop and review product strategy for Clinical Reasoning’s product suite(s) by collecting and analyzing market and industry data and customer feedback. Collaborate with the Sales team to develop an effective sales and account strategy for Clinical Reasoning’s product suite(s). Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in developing product communication materials (presentations, articles, white papers) and product sales strategies.Build strong and sustainable relationships with varying levels of the client group(s) and internal cross-functional teams to develop a deep understanding of business goals and objectives to ensure expectations are met and proactively identify potential customer opportunities and contract growth.Use hypothesis-driven product developments to inform new product development and/or test new vendor features.Develop business cases for new products, including target market research, competitiveness research, ROI analysis, high-level technical feasibility assessment, pricing strategy, revenue forecast, marketing plan, ongoing support and operations planning.Define objectives, metrics, and key results to help guide, prioritize and measure the success of initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear understanding of client expectations and ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner. Collaborate with Sales and Account teams to resolve escalated customer challenges and roadblocks. Review regular sales, end user performance and upcoming requirements to develop plans with cross-functional teams to deliver contract growth. Facilitate, coordinate and actively participate in contract negotiations.Identify key users or persona needs to develop clear product requirements.Collaborate and clearly communicate expectations and engagement with Executive and Leadership teams, internally and externally.Prioritize and set clear expectations of product requirements with customers and development teams.Evangelize your product/features to both internal and external customers, hosting customer conversations and attending/presenting at relevant events.Oversee the development of future products through user testing and iterative feedback loops.Partner with Product Operations to collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends speaking to the business performance of the product(s) against defined goals.Accountable for ensuring that all working hours are accurately reported in NetSuite on a daily or weekly basis, that the majority of (if not all) hours are tracked as billable. Tracking and reporting of billable hours is a critical aspect of project management and delivery to our customers.Comply with the privacy, security and confidentiality policies. Pre-requisites10+ years of product management, account management, sales and/or related experience combined with a strong understanding of the software development, sales, and lifecycle. Post-secondary education in a relevant field, preferred.Proven experience and ability to collaborate and build strong relationships effectively with clients, UX specialists, engineers, sales, marketing, and other key contacts.Experience facilitating meetings with executive-level clients, prospects, and partners.Demonstrated consultative experience in client services in product development or management.Applied knowledge of user testing and validation techniques.Critical thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset.Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented, with effective time management and communication skills.Formal training on a reputable product management framework is preferred.
