Mission:

A functional consultant specializing in the SAP FI (Financial Accounting) module for integration projects. The primary focus is to design and document integration definitions between external systems (such as web portals) and SAP S/4HANA, enabling real-time customer account statement visualization.
Define, design, and lead functional solutions that integrate the SAP FI module with a customer web portal, ensuring that account statement inquiries are accurate, secure, and efficient.

Responsibilities

• 1. Requirements Analysis:
• Collaborate with stakeholders (business and IT) to understand the functional requirements of the customer web portal.
• Analyze the data required from SAP S/4HANA to construct the account statement, including open items, balances, and relevant accounting documents.
• 2. Functional Design:
• Document functional specifications for integrations between SAP FI and the web portal.
• Define the required data model, considering structures such as customers (master data), accounts receivable, and relevant financial transactions.
• Design solutions that comply with security standards for accessing and transferring sensitive data.
• 3. Interface Definition:
• Design interfaces between SAP S/4HANA and the web portal using technologies such as:
• REST/SOAP APIs: Use of OData services and standard or custom SAP APIs.
• IDocs or RFCs: Define configurations for more complex integrations.
• 4. SAP FI System Configuration:
• Perform necessary configurations in SAP FI, such as enabling integration components and mapping relevant data.
• Manage data exposure through CDS Views and OData services for real-time queries.
• 5. Testing and Validation:
• Design and execute test scenarios to validate the accuracy of the account statement on the web portal.
• Coordinate integration testing with the portal development teams.
• 6. Documentation and Training:
• Create functional and technical manuals related to integrations.
• Provide training to end-users on the usage and understanding of the integrated account statement.
• 7. Support and Continuous Improvement:
• Monitor the integrated functionality and manage improvement requests or incident resolution.
• Optimize processes and system response times.

Requirements

• Technical Knowledge:
• Experience with the SAP FI module, particularly in accounts receivable (AR).
• Ideal: Experience with the SAP SD module (Sales and Distribution) in addition to FI.
• Plus: Knowledge of integration between SAP FI/SD and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Familiarity with integration technologies:
• APIs and OData Services.
• SAP Gateway.
• SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
• Skills in designing and configuring CDS Views for data exposure.
• Knowledge of standard FI data structures such as:
• BSID/BSAD (Individual items).
• BKPF/BSEG (Accounting documents).
• Functional Skills:
• Ability to understand financial processes and their impact on customer operations.
• Competence in business analysis and requirements gathering.
• Experience in designing functional solutions for integrations.
• Interpersonal Skills:
• Effective communication with technical and business teams.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Required Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years as an SAP FI functional consultant, with proven experience in integration projects.
• Participation in at least one SAP integration project with a web portal or external system.
• Recommended Certifications:
• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA for Financial Accounting Associates.
• Work Modality:
• Temporary position, hourly-based contract.
• Flexible schedule, remote work preferred.
• Availability to collaborate on demand for specific project milestones.
