Job description

Business Development Manager, Argentina

As the Business Development Manager for Hempel, you will play a crucial role in driving growth within our Energy & Infrastructure segment! Your key responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, creating specifications, and building long-term relationships with customers across various sectors. This role requires an individual who is highly proactive, customer-focused, and has experience in developing business within the energy and infrastructure markets.

Business Growth & Strategy Development

The role involves implementing Hempel’s global Business Development strategy to drive revenue and profit growth. This includes promoting Hempel’s products and sustainability solutions, building strong relationships with key team members like architects and contractors on major projects, and exploring new markets, clients, and partnerships to identify additional business opportunities.

Client & Partner Engagement

The role focuses on building strong relationships with key clients and industry team members, engaging with decision-makers throughout the customer value chain to drive growth. It also involves collaborating with global and regional commercial teams to influence product specifications.

Project & Sales Execution

The role involves maintaining a high-conversion opportunity pipeline and driving major project opportunities through effective sales execution and team member engagement. It includes supporting or leading quotations and tender submissions for large-scale projects, while tracking project details, partners, and timelines using a CRM system.

Training & Market Positioning

The role includes leading training and capability development for both internal teams and external customers, as well as supporting business initiatives through marketing activities like webinars and Corrosion Schools. Additionally, it involves assisting in defining the commercial route to market for new product developments.

Collaborative Relationships

Building successful relationships involves collaborating closely with internal teams, such as the commercial teams (including global key accounts), as well as service, product management, and R&D departments. Externally, fostering strong partnerships with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies is essential for success.

  • Strong commercial and technical understanding of insulation, fireproofing, building regulations, and protective coatings.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using data to drive business results.

  • Proven experience business development, sales, or technical marketing in the energy and/or infrastructure sectors.
