Reporting to the Senior Director, the Animal Safety Portfolio Manager will support the business function to achieve its goals and targets. The Portfolio Manager will possess a high level of marketing competency and use their wider portfolio experience, to guide and direct a team of 3 marketeers and 4 product managers.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Directs the development of company market requirements for specific Animal Safety product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. 
• Monitors the development of product and sales plans, assesses market penetration, and product strategy and positioning to drive competitive advantage, market share and revenue. 
• Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. 
• Establishes pricing strategies and develops marketing tools for successful product introductions. Communicates customer feedback to your team, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). 
• Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. 

About You: 

• The successful candidate must have a proven track record within Product Marketing and have responsibility for managing people in addition to product responsibility. 
• Degree educated in a marketing discipline or Masters degree in business is preferable. 

• Strong organisational skills and clear communication. 

• Strategic thinker and influencer. Ability to work cross functionally to support and direct others achieving business driven goals. 
• Demonstrate ability to evolve in a fast-changing market environment. 
• Ideally from an animal sciences environment.
