Product Development Consultant

Job Summary:

This position bridges the communication between market needs and the development teams to design and guide development of Trubridge company applications. This requires the ability to evaluate market requirements and translate them into functional and design specifications. This role provides both business and technical expertise to support the analysis, design, and specification activities and deliverables for product development.

Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors specific responsibilities of this role include:

• Ability to work with and communicate to developers and QA
• Acquires and apply BA knowledge
• May participate in story acceptance testing.
• Effectively participates in scrum ceremonies
• Provides feedback to developers on requirement questions. 
• May participate in feature acceptance testing.
• May participate in feature knowledge transfer.
• Deeper understanding of industry needs and product design.
• Ability to elicit and organize requirements from multiple sources.
• Ability to distill or simplify requirements.
• May interact with clients and direct end-users.
• Effective at non-functional requirement definition.
• Proficient in creating user stories and personas.
• The ability to provide clarity to developers on requirements with limited help from others. 
• Participate in feature acceptance testing.
• Participate in feature knowledge transfer (internal).
• Strong Industry knowledge.
• May be a subject matter expert in one or more areas. (Adapted from Sr BA II)
• Ability to proficiently complete value statements, success criteria, and test scenarios for defined work.
• Requires little help to define business needs and process workflows.
• Assists Product Owner in backlog grooming and prioritization.
• Works closely with Product Management.
• Active participant in and able to facilitate client/user meetings.
• Conduct user need analyses to establish requirements.
• Increased acumen for planning.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to drive team meetings.
• Effectively performs UAT activities (validate the solution).
• Active participant in feature acceptance testing.
• Active participant in feature knowledge transfer (internal).

Education/Experience/Certification Requirements

• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
• Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
• Must be able to act both independently and as a team member.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming
• 7 to 9 years of business analysis experience
• Experience working with business processes and re-engineering
• Knowledge of healthcare-based applications
• Experience working with computer programming concepts
• Experience working with interfacing/middleware technology
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving collaborative environment
