Engineering Manager, Blockchain Integrations

What You’ll Do

• Lead a team of engineers, ensuring the quality of execution, timeliness of delivery, and the impact of your team's work.
  
• Drive operational excellence and create technology strategies, mentoring and coaching engineers for their personal and professional growth.
  
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to define product investment and ensure alignment between product plans, team bandwidth, and technical growth.
  
• Work cross-functionally with other engineering managers, product management, and people/recruiting to drive team growth, retention, and hiring.
  
• Take ownership of the growth planning, recruiting, and performance management of your engineering team.
  
• Own the execution, processes, and impact of your team’s projects.
  

What We’re Looking For

Skills and Experience Required:

• Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and growing a geographically distributed team.
  
• Expertise in building complex distributed systems, with a focus on engineering and management skills over any specific language or framework.
  
• Passion for building services from scratch and supporting them over time.
  
• A commitment to code quality, test infrastructure, and end-user experience.
  
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, algorithms, and data structures.
  
• A proactive, action-oriented approach with the ability to inspire and influence your team.
  
• A combination of creativity, humility, ambition, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
  

Bonus Points if:

• You have experience with applied cryptography (crypto = cryptography, not cryptocurrency).
  
• You enjoy reading blockchain protocol white papers and staying updated on cryptoasset innovations.
  
• You have a background in the finance industry.
  
• You have professional experience with Go/Rust/TypeScript/Solidity.
  
• Familiarity with optimistic and zero-knowledge technology.
