Job description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Database Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on processing data within SQL and Access databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility. This role is centered on data analysis and management rather than automation or database administration.

Compensation:

COP 4.5M - 5.5M/month.

Location:

Remote (for Colombia residents).

What makes you a strong candidate:

You are proficient data analysis, data processing, ETL (Extract, transform, load), and SQL.
Spanish - Native or fully fluent.
English - Native or fully fluent.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Database Analyst or in a similar role.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Team Player: Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SQL and Access databases.
Strong knowledge of ETL techniques and data processing.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other Database Management Systems (DBMS).
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Responsibilities:

Data Processing: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into SQL and Access databases.
Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and consistency across databases.
Query Development: Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
Reporting: Generate reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
Data Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain databases to reflect accurate information.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand data needs and provide support.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data processes, queries, and reports.
