Role Summary

The Innovation Portfolio and Project Management Secondment role is an opportunity to play a critical role in supporting the design and development of, and management of a portfolio of innovative consumer and HCP products. This includes Pfizer’s VaxAssist website which allows individuals to check eligibility and schedule respiratory vaccinations directly with local pharmacies.  

This role will include planning, managing and supporting the Commercial Innovation Portfolio and projects. You will act as a key partner in organizing and managing the processes overseeing the life cycle of high priority products. You will be tracking, reporting and identifying risks, and actively maintaining transparency of work, timelines, and deliverables across program stakeholder groups. 

You must be able to thrive in unchartered territory and complexity and be a voice of discipline and structure to enable development and deployment of operational solutions that meet the needs of the business. Alongside a growth mindset, you will understand and be able to deploy Agile principles and methods and possess excellent Project management discipline to enable on-time and quality delivery of CMO and Commercial business initiatives. 

Success in this role will include the successful support for the development, experimentation and scaling of proven disruptive innovation.

Responsibilities​

Lead portfolio operations for the Commercial Innovation Portfolio (60%)

    • Responsible for ensuring 20+ person global team has awareness of all projects in portfolio and is adhering to established innovation processes 

    • Update the Innovation Portfolio Teams channel home page in support of information sharing and communication across the portfolio. 

    • Steward and monitor Monday.com inputs and provide weekly portfolio status updates and executive leadership reports as needed. 

    • Work with the Strategy & Insights Lead to facilitate Innovation Forums and Monthly Portfolio Reviews to drive progress along the innovation process and promote knowledge sharing. 

    • Work with Knowledge is Power Hour Lead to facilitate Knowledge is Power sessions to enable the Innovation team with skills and knowledge. 

    • Launch and analyze Innovation Process survey to track progress in S1 

    • Maintain the financial tracker for the Innovation Portfolio. 

    • Work with leadership to monitor the KPIs across the Innovation Portfolio to measure success against business goals. 

    • Collect, track, and report on KPIs fromprojects and products across the Innovation Portfolio to roll up to Portfolio KPIs. 

    Lead project management for the VaxAssist product – Pfizer’s first consumer product which has launched to solved a consumer pain point around understanding vaccination eligibility and scheduling vaccine appointments (40%) 

    • Lead Scrum of Scrums (SoS) meetings for the VaxAssist project consisting of Pfizer Commercial Innovation Product, Pfizer Marketing, Pfizer Digital, and product vendor teams.  

    • Develop and maintain project schedules for ongoing VaxAssist releases in Smartsheet. 

    • Update VaxAssist project status dashboards in Smartsheet and send out weekly status reports to VaxAssist team and leadership. 

    • Schedule and facilitate meetings as required in support of VaxAssist releases. 

    • Document risks, actions, issues, decisions in the VaxAssist RAID log in Smartsheet. 

    • Distribute meeting notes, transcripts, and recordings to the VaxAssist team. 

    • Update the VaxAssist XF Teams channel home page in preparation of and following releases. 

    Project management for additional projects that come through the pipeline. (ad-hoc/as they arise) 

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

    • BA Required

    • 8+ years of experience with 5+ of project management.

    • Demonstrated history of leading or managing innovation / transformation / growth / simplification programs to deliver tangible and measurable value add and change. 

    • A high energy-level individual with experience of working in complex, fast-paced and sometime ambiguous environments and who can operate under pressure; be decisive, vocal, visible and comfortable to hold others to account. 

    • Demonstrated accountability, agility, and ability to drive program completion in expedited timelines 

    • Creative problem solver, demonstrated track record of exemplary performance, organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle competing priorities and work well under pressure. 

    • Track record of driving collaboration and fostering highly productive, functional relationships. 

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

    • Experience working with Pfizer systems and stakeholders.  

    • Deep understanding of existing technologies and digital platforms at Pfizer.  

    • Deep understanding of the healthcare and biopharmaceutical ecosystem.  

    • Experience launching disruptive innovation in a customer-centric industry.  

    • Experience working across multiple geographies.  

    • Experience with Smartsheet and Monday.com
