Role Overview

As a Music Evaluator Territory Lead working with one of the world’s leading streaming platforms, you’ll assess the accuracy and quality of AI-generated music selections while serving as a key liaison between regional project managers and evaluation teams. This role requires an understanding of popular music and related genres within a specific geographic region, as well as strong research, fact-checking, and quality assurance expertise. By providing qualitative feedback and scoring AI recommendations, evaluators will help refine music discovery and enhance the user experience for millions of listeners worldwide.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-generated music selections for accuracy, relevance, and cultural sensitivity

  • Provide qualitative feedback to improve recommendations

  • Rank editorial results based on an established style guide and client provided criteria

  • Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to verify music-related information

  • QA to ensure consistency in team evaluations

  • Follow detailed guidelines and quality benchmarks to ensure high editorial standards

  • Manage communication between regional project managers and regional team

  • Serve as an escalation point for tool and workflow related issues

  • Provide feedback and assist with resource allocation

  • Develop and present process improvement recommendations to relevant stakeholders

  • Assist with localization efforts for tooling and project documentation


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of music history and popular music, particularly within a specific geographic region

  • Experience in high-volume editorial work, research, or fact-checking

  • Proven track record of leading remote teams and managing quality assurance processes

  • Detail-oriented; strong analytical and critical-thinking skills

  • Resourceful and skilled in conducting in-depth music-related research

  • Comfortable working in a remote, distributed team environment

  • Experience developing and implementing QA guidelines and training materials

  • English proficiency required


Compensation

We provide competitive, market-adjusted rates for project-based work across all territories. U.S. based contractors earn $20-42 USD per hour. Compensation for contractors outside the US is benchmarked against industry data and regional market analysis to ensure competitive local market rates. Final rates are determined based on experience, expertise, and demonstrated skills in music evaluation and research.
