Software Engineer

We are looking for an organized, experienced, and driven Mid-Level Software Engineer - Operations to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to shifting priorities. You will work across multiple projects, collaborating with different teams to develop and maintain critical software that drives our business forward.

This role requires a strong technical foundation, problem-solving skills, and a passion for high-quality software development. You will be working with Svelte (TypeScript), Python, PostgreSQL, Firebase Document DB, and AWS RDS to build and maintain scalable solutions.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be Responsible For:

• Developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications using Svelte (TypeScript), Python, and PostgreSQL.
• Working with Firebase Document DB and AWS RDS to build scalable backend solutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features.
• Adapting quickly to shifting priorities and contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing applications for performance and scalability.
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Ensuring software quality through code reviews, unit testing, and best practices.
• Contributing to team discussions, sharing knowledge, and helping improve development processes.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with Firebase Document DB, Supabase, and AWS RDS.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work on multiple projects at once.
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices and cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of API design, messaging/event-driven architecture (e.g., SQS, Kafka, SNS).
• Relational database design and development, preferably with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Passion for writing high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Strong experience with AWS Cloud components (Lambda, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS).
• Experience the Svelte and React Frameworks or a willingness to learn.
• Experience with NodeJS for backend development.
• Structured Agile experience and familiarity with Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub actions, containerization).

Availability to work Full Time in Pacific Time Zone
