JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A PROJECT COORDINATOR (CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE & CUSTOMER LIAISON)
Your Responsibilities as a Project Coordinator (Critical Infrastructure & Customer Liaison) would be:
As a Project Coordinator, you will be the central link between clients, site teams, and internal departments, ensuring fast response times and seamless communication for time-sensitive infrastructure projects.
• Customer Liaison & Service Excellence
o Act as the main point of contact for clients, keeping them updated on project timelines and progress.
o Maintain clear, professional, and responsive communication between clients, engineers, and site teams.
o Ensure customer satisfaction and quick resolution of any on-site challenges or delays.
• Project Coordination & Scheduling
o Work alongside the Senior Project Manager to coordinate operatives, engineers, and subcontractors.
o Monitor project timelines and proactively address any scheduling conflicts.
o Assist in tracking key milestones and deadlines, ensuring every project moves forward efficiently.
o Ensure rapid response times for urgent repairs and infrastructure-critical work.
• Logistics & Material Ordering Support
o Assist in coordinating material orders and deliveries, ensuring the right supplies are on-site at the right time.
o Work with suppliers to track material availability and avoid delays.
o Liaise with the accounts department to ensure smooth procurement processes.
• Document Handling & Compliance
o Maintain detailed project records and update internal systems accordingly.
o Assist in handling technical reports, contracts, compliance documents, and project paperwork.
o Ensure all project documentation is organized, accurate, and accessible.
• Software & Reporting
o Use various project management and CRM software tools to track progress and manage workflow.
o Conduct weekly check-ins with the Senior Project Manager to review ongoing projects, challenges, and priorities.
o Prepare progress reports for internal teams and clients, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications as a Project Coordinator (Critical Infrastructure & Customer Liaison):
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar discipline is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2- 3 years of work experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure project coordination preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where urgency is key.
• Strong communication skills – can liaise confidently with clients, engineers, and suppliers.
• Proficiency in CRM software & project management tools (experience with Go High Level, Microsoft Project, or similar is a plus).
• Exceptionally organized and proactive, able to prioritize tasks effectively while tackling problems with a sharp analytical approach.
• Capable of handling technical documentation and compliance paperwork.
• Comfortable working remotely while maintaining strong collaboration with teams.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks and responsibilities.
• Capable of finding the best approach for every unfamiliar task assigned.
• Adaptable and quick learner, able to grasp new concepts, systems, and processes efficiently to deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Efficiently prioritize tasks to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Ensuring construction quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Able to create and maintain project timelines, ensuring the completion of tasks on time.
