This is a remote position.
My client are a market leader in the UK for commercial lighting connection and control products. An opportunity has arisen for a Sales and Specification Engineer to join the team, promoting the full and diverse suite of the company's products to: M&E Consultants; End Users (e.g. universities, hospitals etc.); Electrical Contractors and Wholesalers in the North West region of England.
The role is to maintain existing business and develop new opportunities, with an emphasis on:
Ø Raising brand awareness and building strong business relationships
Ø Demonstrating the product portfolio’s features & benefits
Ø Gaining written specification for flex7 products via the M&E Consultant route
Ø Assisting all disciplines in the sector with flex7 product knowledge and selection
The ideal candidate will have an indepth knowledge of the North West’s M&E Consultant, Electrical Contractor and Electrical Wholesaler sector
· Technical sales background, preferably in the commercial lighting and controls arena
· Comfortable arranging and holding face to face meetings / demonstrations
· Able to communicate clearly at all levels (audience specific)
· Tenacious / determined
· Confidence, with the ability to (politely) say “No” when the situation dictates
· IT – MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· The ability to work to deadlines and time manage proactively
