Job description

Bloomerang combines the best tools, resources, and people to provide a world-class experience for tens of thousands of nonprofits, allowing them to raise more money and do more good in the world. Our powerful software and stellar customer service have made us one of the highest rated fundraising/donor CRMs on the market.

In addition to creating thriving nonprofits, we’re also in the business of creating thriving employees. At Bloomerang, you’ll be a part of a mission-driven culture built on the core values of Simplify, Care, and Act. We know the key to our success is our people, and we’re proud to be home to some of the most innovative and skilled employees in the workforce today.

The Role

As a Product Manager working on the Qgiv by Bloomerang fundraising product, you’ll be responsible for helping nonprofits better manage their online giving campaigns and events, improve reporting usability and performance, and build robust data connectors with our platform. You have experience in understanding customer needs and problems (and talking to them about it!), defining features, gathering requirements, and driving it to launch. Some days, your work might feel a little more engineering focused - we’re looking for someone who’s comfortable collaborating with our engineering team on more technical projects like 3rd party integrations, API development, and complex reporting needs. You also understand that high quality products are not built in a silo, so you’re comfortable learning from and presenting to colleagues across the organization - engineering, design, sales, customer success, support, and executive leadership.

What You Will Do

  • Develop a Product Roadmap: You will be responsible for defining and maintaining a product roadmap that positions our product to better serve our target market, aligns with Bloomerang’s strategic goals, and drives the next iteration of our product into a unified giving platform.
  • Understand our Users and the Market: You will communicate with customers, prospects, churned users and other external stakeholders to identify and prioritize the features and functionality that will have the greatest impact. You will regularly conduct market research to understand how to best position our product and remain competitive.
  • Define and Document Product Requirements: Create clear and detailed product briefs, functional requirements documents, and other documentation related to features on your roadmap.
  • Be a Product Expert: Your role touches all aspects of our fundraising tools - you’ll need to become a product expert to know the ins and outs of each fundraising solution to best understand the unique reporting and management needs.
  • Tackle Complex Problems Head On: You will be responsible for taking complex problems and experiences and striving to distill them into easy-to-understand solutions and crafting intuitive user experiences.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Foster a culture of collaboration with fellow product and engineering team members and gather their input early and often. You’ll also be responsible for collaborating across teams to gather input and feedback throughout the product lifecycle from ideation to launch.
  • Make Data-Driven Decisions: Thoroughly analyze internal and external data to identify product opportunities, inform product strategy and measure the success of product releases.
  • Ensure Success and Deliver Results: Determine the goals and metrics that will be used to determine the success of a new release or feature and continue to drive the product direction to meet those goals.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years of software product management experience
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional roles - engineering, design, marketing and customer support
  • Experience with agile and scrum methodologies and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Nice to Haves But Not Required
