Job description

Aura is on a mission to create a safer internet.  In a world where our lives are increasingly online, Aura's category-defining suite of intelligent digital safety products help millions of customers protect themselves against digital threats, and that number is growing rapidly.  This is an exciting phase at Aura, and our team of over 400 people worldwide is guided by a leadership slate that's successfully grown startups into multi-billion dollar organizations.

Come build with us!

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our General Protection team and drive the development of our core protection technologies—think password manager, antivirus, and monitoring the dark web—across multiple platforms. You’ll report to our Director of Product Management and collaborate closely with our engineering and design teams. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help families achieve true peace of mind by protecting their devices and accounts from ever-evolving digital threats.

If you’re excited about connecting how things really work—authentication and API integrations— with simple, easy to use customer security experiences this role will give you ample opportunities to own the future of consumer protection.

Day to Day:

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Develop a clear, actionable vision for our password manager, antivirus, and VPN technologies as well as security focused experiences. You’ll go beyond buzzwords, truly understanding what these tools actually mean to everyday consumers ensuring that families can successfully secure most important assets.
  • Define and Measure Success: Identify metrics that truly matter. We’re not interested in vanity numbers; you’ll need to thoughtfully consider how your product decisions make a meaningful impact on our customers’ digital safety and our business objectives using both data and qualitative observations.
  • End-to-End Execution: From the first idea to final launch (and beyond), you own the product lifecycle. Partner with design, engineering, and other stakeholders to make sure each feature not only works but delights our customers.
  • Technical Depth: Dive into the details of these core technologies and effectively articulate how they can better serve customers. Understanding how these technologies fit together to create a seamless security experience for consumers. Communication of technical details to a non technical audience is essential here as well as ensuring that both customer perspectives on security and the real security outcomes are carefully balanced.
  • Customer Empathy: Know our users. Understand their struggles with logins and devices. Back your decisions with data, real customer conversations, and a genuine security mindset.
  • Business Focus: You’re building products that drive real-world impact. Translate customer insights into business opportunities that keep Aura on a strong growth trajectory. We’re all about delivering real value while sustainably growing the business.
  • Communication: Clarity is key. Whether you’re talking to executives, helping a new hire understand our platform integrations, or fielding questions from customer-facing teams, your message should always be concise and impactful.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years owning end-to-end product outcomes in a SaaS environment.
    • Security domain expertise is strongly preferred—especially around consumer protection, authentication, or networking security tools.
  • Technical Acumen:
    • A solid understanding of how authentication and authorization systems work, plus a practical grasp of how VPNs and antivirus technologies function under the hood.
    • You’re not an engineer, but you can speak their language and ask the right technical questions.
  • Business Impact:
    • A proven track record of hitting business goals while championing a customer-first mindset. You can point to metrics that improved under your stewardship.
  • Curiosity & Thoughtfulness:
    • You question assumptions, dig deep into user feedback, and challenge the status quo. You don’t need every answer upfront; you’re good at finding them.
  • Data-Fluent:
    • Numbers guide you, not define you. You know how to leverage metrics—like adoption, usage frequency, and churn—to make informed product decisions.
  • Collaboration:
    • You’re an excellent partner to engineering, design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams. You adapt your communication to your audience and bring people together to deliver great products.
  • Security Mindset:
    • You understand the consumer threat landscape and take pride in designing solutions that provide real protection. You recognize that trust is everything in security products.
  • English proficiency
