Job description

The role will be responsible for defining the vision for our customer- facing modeling platform. In this role you will be managing the product backlog, collaborating with development teams, and working closely with solution teams to ensure the successful delivery of the product.

Our modeling platform allows our customers and account teams to model the flow of orders through the supply chain. Users can simulate changes to the business rules and different key decisions to understand the impact on the flow of goods through multiple lenses.

As we are global company, there are times where there is a need to collaborate with colleagues in other time zones, so occasional meetings outside of typical working hours can occur.

Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Manage the product budget, including forecasting and planning for future development costs.

Product Development:

Define, track, and report on key product performance metrics.
Oversees backlog for development.
Assist in prioritizing features, enhancements, and data initiatives based on customer needs, and internal priorities.
Guide the development of new features and enhancements by working closely with the technical development team.
Use Agile development framework and RACI for tracking responsibilities.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with various stakeholders including customers, sales, marketing, and development teams.
Engage with customers to gather feedback and understand their needs.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Preferred Minimum of 3+ years of experience in product management.
Preferred Experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain sectors.
Preferred Proven experience in managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
Preferred Working on enterprise-level platforms.
Preferred Strong understanding of forecasting, M/L and other predictive capabilities.

Skills:

Preferred Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Excellent written and verbal communication.
Preferred Understanding of UX design and user-friendly products
Preferred Able to manage a product backlog and work with stakeholders to prioritize tasks.
Preferred Familiarity with common tools in the product space such as Jira, Figma, Monday.com, etc.

Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.

Compensation: $56,070 - $70,000/year.

**The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.
