Job description

About Go Fish Digital Go Fish Digital is where digital marketing meets creativity and strategy. We’re a team of experts dedicated to crafting solutions that help our clients grow. We thrive on collaboration, innovation, and delivering results that matter.

What You’ll Do As an Account Manager, you will be the primary advocate for our clients, ensuring their goals align with our digital marketing strategies. Your focus will be on building and maintaining long-term client relationships, understanding their evolving needs, and proactively identifying opportunities for growth. You will serve as the strategic advisor to our clients, working closely with internal teams to drive success.

You’ll excel in client communication, balancing diplomacy and assertiveness to maintain trust and satisfaction. Your ability to translate complex marketing strategies into clear, actionable insights will be essential. In this role, you will be proactive, solutions-oriented, and collaborative—ensuring that client partnerships thrive and business objectives are met.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong, trust-based relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Strategic Consultation: Understand clients’ business objectives and provide tailored digital marketing recommendations across SEO, content marketing, paid media, and online reputation management.
  • Account Growth & Retention: Identify opportunities for account expansion by presenting data-driven insights, recommending new services, and ensuring long-term client engagement.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly review campaign performance, provide strategic insights, and collaborate with internal teams to adjust strategies for optimal results.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with internal teams—including SEO specialists, content strategists, and paid media experts—to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Client Advocacy: Represent client interests internally while balancing business goals and operational efficiency.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Client-Focused Mindset: A proven track record of managing and growing client relationships within a digital marketing or agency environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to assess client needs, translate them into actionable marketing strategies, and drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate strategies, insights, and recommendations to both clients and internal teams.
  • Analytical Mindset: Experience working with digital marketing metrics, Google Analytics, and performance reporting to inform data-driven decisions.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Resourceful and proactive, with a keen ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Skilled at working cross-functionally with creative, technical, and strategic teams to drive success.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO tools like Moz, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog is a plus. Relevant certifications such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, or HubSpot are also a bonus.

Guidelines for Your Application

What We Need: Alongside your resume, craft a one-page cover letter that gives us some perspective into your unique journey and passion for this role. Don’t forget to mention your salary expectations.

Handling Attachments: Some platforms can be tricky. If limited to one file, combine your resume and cover letter. Bonus points for work samples — links in CVs or resumes are good, too!

The Weight of the Cover Letter: It’s more than just a formality – it’s our first introduction to you. Make it count. Without it, your application won't be reviewed.

Note on ‘Quick Apply’: This feature can sometimes miss essential details. Ensure all our requirements are met — incomplete applications won't progress.

Adherence to these guidelines is paramount.

Missing out will cost you a spot in the process. And then, we all miss out. And that bums us out. Don't bum us out. We value attention to detail, and this is your chance to show that off.

We appreciate the effort you put into your application and look forward to getting to know you better!
