Job description

The Sr. Manager, Sales Administration & Incentive Compensation is a business-critical role that ensures the smooth operation of our sales and go-to-market (GTM) teams, with a focus on sales and transaction data integrity in Salesforce. Leading a team of 3-4 based in the USA and Europe, you will ensure accurate data capture and validation in Salesforce, becoming a go-to expert for CRM data nuances related to our pipeline and closed business. 

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):
  • Business Administration and Data Integrity: 
  • Partner with Deal Desk, Finance, and Accounting on transaction structure as depicted in the CRM.  
  • Ensure that the sales team understands how to represent opportunities, accounts, contracts and other details correctly in our CRM as well as provide final validation and reconciliation as deals close. 
  • Validate the integrity of closed transactions in Salesforce CRM.  
  • Oversee sales performance reporting and dashboards in Salesforce.  

  • Sales Compensation and Execution: 
  • Manage the design of sales incentive compensation plans for Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success and other related roles.  
  • Work with senior stakeholders to align compensation plans with strategic goals.  
  • Manage the preparation and execution of Sales Incentive Plan (SIP). 
  • Ensure that SIP calculations and payroll submissions are accurate & timely, with all necessary audit controls and documentation.  
  • Update sales compensation plans throughout the fiscal year as business needs change.  
  • Address commission-related issues.  
  • Manage the Commission Review Board process for escalations.  
  • Conduct annual training on new compensation plans.  
  • Manage commission tool implementation and data source validation (e.g., Captivate IQ) in collaboration with Finance.  

  • Project Management and Process Improvement: 
  • Lead and support initiatives to enhance sales funnel processes. 
  • Drive continuous improvement of sales operations processes. 
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce administration team as a Subject Matter Expert.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent at building relationships and influencing others to achieve strategic goals  

  • What You Need (Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.  
  • Knowledge, skills and ability typically gained through 5+ years of experience in sales administration and incentive compensation.   
  • Experience and understanding of the overall sales administration and compensation practice.  
  • Salesforce (CRM) Expertise: Proficient in Salesforce usage, data analysis, data integrity, and workflow abilities.  
  • Process and System Design: Experienced in designing efficient processes and optimizing tools and systems.  
  • Excel Proficiency: Advanced skills in managing complex Excel spreadsheets and workbooks.  
  • Agile methodologies along with Jira and Confluence experience are a plus.
