Due to the success of our organization, we are hiring a Director of Payer Relations!

Within an assigned region, establishes HCD as the preferred partner for Health Plans, Networks and managed care organizations through the creation, delivery and execution of effective sales strategies as well as the development of new markets, and utilization of his/her in-depth health plan contacts. Along with the VP of Payer Relations, develops contracting sales goals and strategies for achievement of health plan sales budget. Defines target health plan profiles, establishes strong relationships with key health decision makers, and secures and ensures execution of health plan contracts. Works closely with cross-functional and regional sales teams to effectively drive regional markets and pull through efforts. Manages Account Executive, Payer Relations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Maintains appropriate levels of communication and confidentiality.
  • Earn Health Plan contracts in a specified region.
  • Manages deadlines and priorities effectively and achieves scheduled as well as ad hoc goals as assigned.
  • Establishes HCD as the preferred, value-add partner with commercial and government payers.
  • Achieves quotas by delivering incremental, sustainable, and profitable revenue growth.
  • Provides detailed account status reporting.
  • Develops and executes managers care payer sales strategy.
  • Leads Regional Team Meetings to drive tactical execution of the regional sales strategy.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned, which may vary at any time with or without notice

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field - Required.
  • Five to seven years of progressively responsible health care industry sales experience required, with a minimum of two to three years in commercial.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 6-8 hours a day, while working at a computer station.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using a keyboard, mouse, and other computer peripherals for data entry and communication purposes.
  • Visual Acuity: Ability to view a computer screen for prolonged periods, with good visual acuity to read small print and accurately enter data.
  • Hearing: Adequate hearing ability, with or without correction, to understand and respond to customer inquiries via telephone or other audio equipment.
  • Repetitive Movements: Regular use of the hands, wrists, and fingers to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and using a mouse.
