Job Summary
Silvaco, one of the leading suppliers of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software to the semiconductor industry, is adding new positions in Ukraine. The new team members will part of a team providing custom CAD tool for high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. There are several vacancies for PDK/Verification rule deck developers to support our analog custom design and physical verification tools.
Integrated Circuits designed by Custom CAD tools require foundry rule decks for physical verification and PDKs for design/implementation. The candidate will help in the creating/updating of foundry rule decks and validating/enabling iPDKs with Silvaco tools.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to:
- Work closely with the team leader (based in Ukraine), program management (based in United States) and the rest of the team in developing and updating DRC/LVS rule decks and/or iPDKs.
- Analyze new or updated rule decks and/or iPDKs to determine effort and changes required to support.
- Update rule decks and/or iPDKs to enable Silvaco tools to work with this foundry data.
- Test and validate rule decks and/or iPDKs to ensure passing and matching golden results.
- Work with software developers to improve the tools to minimize issues found in creating, updating, and testing of rule decks and/or iPDKs.
- Working within agreed time scales to complete new or updated rule decks or iPDKs.
- When required, work flexible hours to meet project targets.
Qualifications And Required Experience
- Proficient in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Tcl and Python, and of OS-specific scripting languages such as Powershell (for Windows) and Bash shell (for Linux).
- Electrical Engineering degree or Math/Physics is strongly desired.
- Knowledge of the EDA custom flow is desired in at least one of the following areas: Circuit Design, Physical Implementation, or Physical Verification.
- Prior experience with EDA tools from Silvaco, Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemen-Mentor.
- Proficient in CMOS technology is a plus.
- A good understanding of best practices in development and test, including documentation, version control, issue tracking.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux OSs.
Preferred Skills
- English skills at a pre-intermediate level (A2-B1) or higher.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently, able to work from home and communicate to other team members via chat, email, and video meetings and achieve objectives within project timescales.
- Ability to analyze user requirements and formulate solutions.
- Ability to create and review technical documentation of a good standard.
- An aptitude for future professional development with a view of taking on further responsibilities in a growing technology company.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in remote work team environment preferred.
All Silvaco salary ranges are determined by role, level, and geographic location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training and additional role-related considerations.
