Wood is seeking a Senior Contract Petrophysicist. This role is responsible for ensuring that the objectives of the CCS Subsurface Group and its Customers are performed to a satisfactory high standard and that technical work tasks are performed safely, effectively and in compliance with the specified objectives. This role is an on-demand contract position which will be utilized for specific projects on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities
The Senior Contract Petrophysicist shall:
Collaborate on detailed technical work in support of project deliverables, including well log analysis and interpretation, and integration of petrophysical data with geologic characterizations for subsurface reservoirs
Create interpretation products such as petrophysical well logs, both edited and calculated (e.g. Vclay, Mineralogy, Salinity), and facies data for input into static geologic models
Be able to interpret for both siliciclastic and carbonate reservoirs
Conventional and Unconventional reservoir experience
Contribute to the writing of Class VI Injection and NOFO applications
Engage on occasion with clients for the purpose of communicating critical information and presenting on project deliverables
Act as a technical interface as required for peer reviews, partner’s meetings, etc.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Geoscience with 15+ years combined Oi&Gas and CCS experience.
The Senior Contract Petrophysicist Should Have
Expertise with petrophysics software such as Interactive Petrophysics (IP), Petra or Geographix
Good Organizational skills
Strong Written and Oral Communication capability
General understanding of EPA Class VI permitting requirements
