JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Director of Procurement is responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing all purchasing activities to ensure cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance across the organization.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, focusing on cost savings, supplier diversity, and risk management
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance on complex sourcing projects and vendor negotiations
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, managing contract negotiations, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement and optimize procurement policies, procedures, and systems to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs and develop effective sourcing solutions
  • Manage the organization's procurement budget and track key performance indicators
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives in procurement processes, including e-procurement systems and automation tools
  • Ensure ethical procurement practices and maintain compliance with corporate governance standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated success in cost reduction initiatives
  • Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Advanced proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization
