Account Manager, Commercial Marine Brokerage

This is a remote position based in the Eastern time zone. Applicants must be located in the Eastern time zone.

We’re seeking an Account Manager to manage new business submissions and work closely with both Agents and Underwriters to review and assess applications, prepare proposals, and submit for binding. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in servicing key accounts while prioritizing and managing workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate delivery of key objectives.

Your Impact:

• Building and maintaining constructive and effective relationships with both Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters by meeting and exceeding expectations
• Leveraging commercial marine insurance knowledge and expertise to actively place new business
• Fostering an environment of personal accountability by managing appropriate system records of service, marketing, and policy communications between the Retail Agents and Underwriters
• Supporting the implementation of new business by setting up accounts, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with the Retail Agent while working closely with Underwriters to quote and bind cover
• Executing coverage analysis as needed as well as providing the Retail Agent with support so that they may communicate effectively with the insured

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• Valid P&C insurance license and 3-5 years of commercial Lines client servicing experience
• Knowledge of commercial marine Lines coverage and the ability to clearly articulate these products/plans to clients and underwriters, including compliance and legislative information
• Understanding of marketplace trends and best practices to best meet client needs
• Ability to collect, interpret and/or analyze complex data and information
• Proficiency with insurance Agency Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite

At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, and paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $51,800.00 - $80,000.00 + bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
