Job description

We are looking for a talented Associate Marketing Manager, Demand Generation (SEO/SEM) to join our team.

For our B2B market, you’ll assist in implementing tactics for digital and inbound marketing that will support the acquisition of new partners as well as in developing content that positions us as a thought leader in the education benefits space. Your main focus will be in SEO/SEM and digital ad campaigns, both in technical and strategy work, to position Workforce Edge as a leader in the education benefits management space as well as education technology/SaaS platform solutions for employer partners.

For our B2C market, you’ll support team marketing automation efforts in the design and delivery of content to share to employees at our partner companies, support marketing automation outreach for current and prospective employee learners, and help develop our overall digital content strategy as you blend the needs of the user and the business into a clear, engaging narrative.

We are a digital-first culture so this position is remote. Some travel may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Workforce Edge’s B2B lead generation through digital experiences – including content management with SEO, paid search, and social media as the primary mediums
  • Manage and deploy long-form pillar content strategic work for workforceedge.com – determining thought leadership topics, working with SEO vendors and copywriters, overseeing copy review/edits, and employing SEO tactics to improve visibility.
  • Assist in managing website content process from ideation to copywriting to publication, keeping SEO best practices in mind, and oversee content maintenance for website
  • Aid in general site maintenance best practices, including sharing knowledge around technical SEO issues with our site developers on items like page speed improvements, etc.
  • Help manage PPC ad strategies across multiple platforms, including LinkedIn and Google, and support paid search work through updates to landing pages, connecting with internal media investment and digital experiences teams, and monitoring results of search efforts to produce regular reporting for internal stakeholders
  • Support marketing manager’s work on new ad content and optimize ability to track performance of WFE ads across the business, collaborating across teams to ensure accurate reporting on digital marketing campaigns
  • Help manage advertising opportunities for Workforce Edge education partners

Job Skills

  • Technical, on-page, and off-page SEO knowledge and experience required
  • HTML knowledge/experience required
  • PPC ad experience desired
  • Marketing automation platform experience required (Pardot/MCAE/SFMC experience a plus)
  • Higher education industry knowledge a plus
  • SaaS experience a plus
  • AEM experience a plus

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with all levels of stakeholders
  • A creative thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to plan strategically and balance short-term and long-term priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of and the ability to balance content strategy depending on the industry, audience, or market segment

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, English, communications, or related field preferred but not required

Other

  • Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro. In accordance with ADA policies, reasonable accommodations regarding travel limitations can be provided. Travel will be more common for roles such as Account Executives (25 - 50%), senior leaders (10 – 20%) or Capella Core Faculty (5 – 10%). 
  • Ability to work onsite in Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on role. If so, this would include being mobile within the office, including movement from floor-to-floor using elevators or stairs.
  • If offsite or hybrid role, must have access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location.
