Job Description:

The Developer/Programmer Analyst will be responsible for planning, developing, testing, and documenting computer programs while applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. The role involves evaluating user requests for new or modified programs, determining feasibility, cost, and compatibility with existing systems, and consulting with users to clarify program objectives.

The developer will work on two primary projects:

Workstream 1: PowerBI Dashboard Development

Transform existing Insight to Impact (I2I) dashboards from EPP-facing to public-facing
Consult users about existing data sources, functionality, and deployment procedures
Identify the best solution for public-facing dashboards
Develop and test data extraction, loading, and deployment procedures between I2I database and PowerBI
Adapt and deploy PowerBI dashboards from a secure environment to a public-facing location
Deploy the full solution to production
Integrate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) feedback from the EDRS team
Develop documentation for ongoing maintenance, data loads, and updates

Workstream 2: EPP Map Development in PowerBI

Consult users about existing ArcGIS map of all Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs) in Texas
Develop a PowerBI-based map based on user requirements
Integrate UAT feedback from the EDRS team
Develop documentation for ongoing maintenance
