 About the Position

The New Business and Equipment Project Manager assists customers who are opening, renovating, or expanding their veterinary practices by facilitating new and expanding business projects (ISO) between potential and/or existing customers and Penn Veterinary Supply. They also assist the New Business and Equipment Department with education, sales, customer service, and administrative duties. Able to present services both departments offer to customers and potential customers. 

 Candidates must be available to work a schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with flexibility.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate the relationships with prospective New and Expanding Business program participants and Penn Veterinary Supply with the goal of establishing new accounts.
  • Working in partnership with the Customer Finance Specialist to manage the accounts of all New and Expanding Business customers, will participate in customer meetings and create project proposals.
  • Upon the onboarding of a customer into the New and Expanding Business Program, work jointly with Regional Managers and/or Territory Managers in all aspects of account management, including business applications, quotes, product and service demonstrations, suggested orders, and order entry. 
  • Ensure all internal and external parties are kept informed and on schedule in each step of the project and/or equipment purchasing process. 
  • Source and research needed equipment and/or products to supply customers’ needs.
  • Obtain and communicate freight costs for customer orders. Communicate delivery status and updates to customers. 
  • Stay informed of new products and promotions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge about industry, product, services, solutions, equipment, along with their technical and functional characteristics, and new product research. May attend training meetings and workshops as well as other industry events (virtually or in-person).
  • Complete other tasks and projects as assigned by the Associate Sales Directors, Director of Sales and Marketing, or Company President.

 Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or relevant experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and experience a must.
  • Experience in animal health, preferably in a B2B or distribution setting. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills. Strong attention to detail, well organized.
  • Ability to present work before others and train on different ideas and platform.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Ability to organize one’s own activities and manage multiple priorities independently while also working as an active member on a team; meets deadlines.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of computers especially MS Office Suite. 
  • Valid Driver’s license.

  • Operate a computer and other office machinery for extended periods of time.
  • Move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to observe details at close range.
  • May occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel via car, train, or plane.
