Job Summary: 
We are seeking a dedicated Provider Network Expansion Manager to join our team and play a strategic role in growing our provider network. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully expanding provider networks, particularly with unique specialty providers. This role requires a proactive, results-driven professional who can identify opportunities, establish strong relationships, and drive network growth to support our organization’s objectives.
Candidates must be willing to travel up to 30% as part of this role.
This position is not considering candidates from New York City, Chicago, California, Colorado, or Washington states at this time.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Network Development: Work with the business development leadership to identify potential geographic areas to expand our provider footprint through various network strategies. Work with provider recruitment when applicable to screen and onboard providers.  
  • Relationship Management: Build and establish new relationships with IPA, Network contacts and work with Provider Relations to ensure provider satisfaction remains high. 
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate delegated arrangements with providers and network channel partners, including terms, rates, and service agreements.
  • Compliance: Ensure all provider contracts and agreements comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Network Monitoring: Monitor network health, focus on coverage penetration and quality of provider performance based on client and regulatory requirements. 
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for network expansion and possible network partners.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and clinical departments, to support network development initiatives.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on network development activities and outcomes to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in provider network development, multiple lines of business contract negotiation, or a related role in the healthcare industry.

  • Proven ability in creating and executing on network expansion opportunities.
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and network management software.
