Lead Magento Backend Developer

We are in search of an experienced Lead Magento Backend Developer to enhance our team. As a vital contributor, you will focus on enriching backend capabilities for the Adobe Commerce websites, spearheading advancements in performance and reliability through technical innovation. Responsibilities Customize Magento modules to meet specific project needs Facilitate enhancements to the e-commerce platform through integration with third-party APIs and services Improve website performance by refining backend operations and database queries Secure the platform by applying best practices and security updates Work alongside front-end developers and designers to ensure integrated functionality Address and resolve issues encountered during the routine operations of Adobe Commerce websites Engage in code reviews, upholding superior code quality and scalability Requirements Proficiency in PHP and MySQL, with a strong understanding of Magento 2 architecture and coding standards Background in developing custom Magento modules and utilizing Magento APIs Solid understanding of e-commerce data organization and relationships, including store catalogs (categories/products/attributes), customer data, and order data Familiarity with Composer, CLI tools, and version control systems, especially Git Understanding of optimization strategies for high-traffic environments and experienced in performance tuning Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines Good communication skills and competency in teamwork environments We offer Work on a flexible schedule remotely or from any of our comfortable offices or coworking spaces in Ukraine Receive the necessary equipment to perform your work tasks Change projects and technology stacks within EPAM Gain experience in various business domains (Insurance, E-commerce, Healthcare, Finance, Travelling, Media, Artificial Intelligence, and more) Consider relocation options in over 30 countries worldwide Participate in volunteer, charity programs and communities (both technical and interest-based) You can plan your individual career path together with your manager.
