We’re looking for a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Benefits Technology Solutions Consultant and drive revenue growth by performing key functions of our sales cycle. With your extensive benefits administration technology experience and knowledge of the industry, you’ll work directly with broker partners and prospective clients to consult on and showcase our solutions.
Responsibilities
The Benefits Technology Solutions Consultant will support our sales efforts and be responsible for key aspects of our sales process. You will -
Demo ebm’s benefits administration platforms and solutions for prospective clients
Generate proposals for all prospective clients and issue contract addendums for existing clients
Lead discovery calls with broker partners and prospective clients to uncover and understand their benefits administration challenges and goals, and identify solutions to best meet their needs
Complete Request for Information (RFI) intake and successfully qualify new opportunities to ensure they fit our target market before moving them through the sales pipeline
Follow up on leads, field questions from prospects, research capabilities, and track down essential data from prospects and partners during all stages of the sales process
Manage “small deal” pipeline; take deals with an annualized revenue of $10k or less through the full sales cycle
You’ll be expected to -
Master ebm’s value proposition & key differentiators to effectively position solutions to broker partners and prospective clients
Accurately identify, qualify, and engage prospective partners and clients within our target market/ICP
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of ebm’s products and services, and comprehensive knowledge of our platform capabilities, in order to educate prospects, guide them toward the best solutions, and accurately answer questions
Be a product and subject matter expert – know the ins and outs of all our solutions, including our benefits administration platforms and enhanced services, and be the ultimate resource for prospects and partners when questions about our products arise
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments to maintain a competitive edge
Track and maintain accurate information of your activities, next steps, communication, and more within our CRM, ensuring that each interaction is logged and all data is complete and accurate
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of and experience in the employee benefits industry, specifically with benefits administration technology
MUST have experience performing demos for one of the following benefits administration platforms - Employee Navigator, bswift, or PlanSource
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills to effectively represent ebm and demonstrate our platforms & solutions
Excellent active listening skills to probe further into clients’ needs and expectations
Highly articulate with the ability to relate to and interact with decision-makers and influencers at all levels of an organization
Extremely organized and attentive to detail in order to effectively manage and track multiple sales processes simultaneously through various stages in the sales pipeline
Critical thinking and decision-making skills required in order to handle objections, unique circumstances, and unexpected situations that will arise throughout the sales cycle
Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications
Strong sales acumen, whether or not you have prior experience in a sales role

Base salary range is $70K to 85K per year plus commission/incentive pay.
