Job description

We are seeking an experienced AWS and Linux Infrastructure Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Linux-based technologies.

In this role, you will work with clients to understand their business requirements and design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions that meet their needs. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of these solutions, including monitoring and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions using AWS and Linux-based technologies
  • Configure and manage cloud-based infrastructure, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and other AWS services
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud-based infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise with cloud-based infrastructure
  • Provide technical support to clients as needed
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in cloud-based infrastructure and AWS best practices
  • Migrating on-premises systems to the cloud
  • Managing and optimizing the performance of our AWS environments
  • Providing technical support and guidance to developers and other IT staff
  • Developing and maintaining documentation and procedures related to the AWS infrastructure
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their business needs and goals and translating those into infrastructure solutions
  • Automating infrastructure deployment and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
  • Maintaining documentation and procedures related to infrastructure.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS and Linux infrastructure (Suse & Redhat Linux)
  • AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are a plus
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and AWS best practices
  • Experience with configuring and managing Amazon EC2 instances and Amazon VPC
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, highly-available cloud-based systems
  • Strong understanding of networking and security principles in the cloud
  • Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
  • Experience with monitoring and optimization tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
