Job description

Title: Product Manager - P3

Location: Remote Canada

Reports To: Product & Technology Portfolio Director

The Role:  

We are looking for a Junior Product Manager to collaborate closely with the Product Director, OEM sales team, and internal & external client support roles. You will focus on gathering, analyzing, and validating customer feedback to shape product requirements (Epics, User Stories, and tasks). Your role involves developing a deep understanding of our product offerings and providing expertise to support product maintenance, design, development, and implementation. You will help to drive innovation through AI based products and Product Management / Development. You will apply strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills to drive product development processes and ensure timely and high-quality deliverables aligned with our vision, strategy, scope, and priorities set by the Product Director. Together with allocated teams, you will work towards achieving corporate vision and revenue goals.

Through acquired Subject Matter Expertise and proven product ownership, with a keen analytical focus, this role is essential to collaborating and establishing our product roadmap helping to drive innovation, revenue and customer satisfaction as we release our products into the marketplace. 

What You'll Be Doing in This Role: 

  • Collaborate with the Product & Technology Portfolio Director and product sponsors to clarify/refine scope, vision, strategy and priorities that are most likely to deliver the greatest results to the business and the best solutions to customers
  • Partner and collaborate with the Product & Technology Portfolio Director and key OEM Sales stakeholders on “Go to Market” strategies, roadmap, and priorities
  • Build and maintain relationships with the internal product team and supporting departments, as well as external customers
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products
  • Partner with UX and Design leads to determine best user experience and design
  • Conduct interviews and product analysis with internal and external Stakeholders to understand and assemble quality user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, site visits, workflows, user stories, scenarios, UX designs/testing, and other hypothesis testing, etc.
  • Develop clearly defined product requirements and translate into Epics, User Stories, and tasks
  • Manage the refinement of the product backlogs for enhancement opportunities and incident management, with modified Agile approach, as needed
  • Maintain product collateral and artifacts for all products within the portfolio, ensuring they are up to date and posted for team access
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the market landscape and OEM competitive vehicle sets and identify key areas of competitive strength and differences, and proactively identify future opportunities as intended to inform the roadmap
  • Work with internal departments to gather and present product roadmap updates and other product analysis
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure product readiness through pre-launch and launch (including releases for iterative product development)
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to support product launches, including all marketing collateral or campaigns

 

Basic Qualifications of this Role: 

  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in product management, supporting product creation and growth efforts
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements: analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification and various Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Hands-on experience interacting with key decision makers and stakeholders both internally and at the client-level
  • Understanding of Agile Product Development Methodology
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent active listening, interviewing, verbal and written communication, documentation/writing, and diplomacy skills
  • Experience with cross-functional teams that include engineering, sales, and marketing. 
  • Skilled in interacting and communicating with management
  • Proven experience driving numerous parallel initiatives
  • Strong MS Office & Teams skills including hands-on experience creating diagrams and presentations 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, re-prioritize and execute tasks under pressure
  • Prefers working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience 
  • Managed products and feature areas through an entire software development lifecycle
  • Automotive industry experience 
  • Prior experience in automotive finance/retail or payment applications
  • Experience managing products that utilize AI
  • Experience in an IT environment
