• Provide constructive feedback on plot, character development, pacing, writing style, and overall coherence of the work.
  
• Identify and highlight strengths and weaknesses of the manuscripts, offering suggestions for improvement.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to any non-disclosure agreements when working with unpublished material.
  
• Collaborate with the editorial team to discuss feedback and contribute to the overall assessment process.
  
• Clearly communicate your observations and opinions in written reports or feedback forms.
  
• Stay updated on current trends and genres in the publishing industry.
  
• Assist in maintaining a database of beta readers and organizing reading schedules.

Requirements

• A genuine love for reading and a keen interest in various literary genres.
  
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate written works.
  
• Excellent written communication skills to provide clear and constructive feedback.
  
• Attention to detail to identify inconsistencies, plot holes, and other elements that may impact the reader's experience.
  
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet assigned deadlines.
  
• Familiarity with different storytelling techniques and narrative structures.
  
• Pursuing a degree in English, literature, creative writing, or a related field (or recent graduate) is preferred.
  
• Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for effective communication and document sharing.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the editorial team.
