Freight Broker Sales Representative

Remote

R23 000/month + Commission

Our US based client is a dynamic freight brokerage specializing in providing reliable transportation solutions for their clients. Their operations team is committed to delivering exceptional service, while their sales team focuses on driving growth and creating new business opportunities.

They are seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight Broker Sales Representative to join their team. This role involves generating new leads, securing and managing business, and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads and land business with new customers.
  • Grow and manage relationships with existing customers to increase business volume.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand and resolve their needs.
  • Build and manage loads for assigned customers, including obtaining pick-up and delivery appointment time slots.
  • Secure appropriate transportation for customer loads at competitive market rates.
  • Track and trace all loads daily to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues with customers and carriers promptly.
  • Assist in any task(s) the Agent requires to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with Groups operations team, which will handle the majority of quoting customers, building and covering loads, and keeping customers updated.
  • Call volumes will be 100+ calls per day

Compensation:

  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • In addition to the hourly rate, the Contractor shall receive 3% of the gross profit generated by the accounts that the Contractor manages or brings in. The gross profit shall be calculated as the total revenue from the Contractors accounts minus the direct costs associated with servicing those accounts. Commissions shall be paid on a [monthly/quarterly] basis.
  • New Account Bonus: The Contractor shall receive a bonus of $400 for each new account they bring to the group, provided that the new account successfully completes at least three (3) loads with the Company. This bonus shall be paid at the end of the month the third load is completed.
