We’re looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join our team. You’ll work in agile pods to develop features, fix defects, write unit tests, review PRs, and participate in agile ceremonies.

Location: Remote - Colombia

What you will be doing:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Solution Architect to lead a skilled team of engineers in developing scalable and secure software solutions. This pivotal role requires providing architectural guidance and making critical technical decisions to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code. Collaborating within agile pods, you will leverage your advanced expertise in AWS, Java/Spring, and React, while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement. Additionally, your strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2 and Fargate will be crucial for this position.   • Lead a team of engineers to develop and deliver scalable and maintainable software solutions.
  • Provide architectural guidance and make key technical decisions for complex, large-scale projects.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality code through comprehensive unit testing and code reviews.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, enhancing team capabilities and technical skills.
  • Actively participate and lead agile ceremonies, driving process improvement and alignment.
  • Oversee the integration of modern technologies such as AWS, predominantly EC2 & Fargate, Java/Spring, and React in solutions architecture.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in software architecture and development, with a focus on AWS, Java/Spring, and React Web and/or React Native.
  • Experience leading software development teams, providing architectural guidance, and making key technical decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Postgres/SQL and Docker for crafting scalable solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services, especially EC2 and Fargate, for solution architecture.
  • Solid understanding of unit testing practices and code reviews to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
  • Advanced collaboration skills, with notable experience in mentoring junior engineers to enhance team capabilities.
  • Deep understanding and application of agile development methodologies for leading agile pods and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively.
Desired skills
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to enhance software deployment processes.
  • Experience with microservices architecture to facilitate scalable and flexible system design.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL as a complement to REST APIs for more efficient data querying.
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code to improve consistency and efficiency in deployments.
  • Certification in AWS, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, to demonstrate further proficiency with cloud services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder communication and collaboration.
