About the Role:
Mercuryo is seeking a detail‐oriented Transaction Monitoring Analyst with a 
minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the financial services or 
crypto industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and 
analyzing both crypto and fiat transactions to detect potential financial crime. 
Using specialized tools such as Chainalysis KYT, Chainalysis Reactor, and 
dedicated fiat transaction monitoring systems, you will play a key role in 
ensuring compliance with AML regulations and internal policies.

Your Role:

Transaction Monitoring:

• Continuously review and monitor daily transaction flows using automated 
  monitoring systems and manual review techniques.
• Analyze blockchain transactions using Chainalysis KYT and conduct in-depth 
  investigations using Chainalysis Reactor for flagged activities.
• Monitor fiat transactions via dedicated monitoring tools to identify irregular 
  patterns and potential AML risks.

Risk Identification & Reporting:

• Identify and document suspicious activities in accordance with AML, KYC, and 
  regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports and escalate high-risk cases to 
  the Compliance team as required.
• Maintain detailed records and audit trails for all investigations.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

• Liaise with internal Compliance, Legal, and Customer Operations teams to 
  ensure timely resolution of flagged issues.
• Contribute to the enhancement of transaction monitoring processes and the 
  effective use of monitoring tools.
• Stay updated on changes in AML regulations and emerging financial crime 
  typologies.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 2 years of experience in transaction monitoring, financial crime investigations, or a related compliance role.
• Proven experience with blockchain monitoring tools, specifically Chainalysis KYT and Chainalysis Reactor.
• Familiarity with fiat transaction monitoring systems and relevant regulatory frameworks (AML, KYC, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work 
• collaboratively across teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
