Job description

Overview:

SOFTSWISS continues to expand the team and is looking for a Business Analyst. We need a true, experienced and accomplished professional who shares our culture and values.

Key responsibilities:
  • Defining business requirements – gathering, analyzing, and formalizing requirements from internal and external stakeholders to enhance payment solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation – managing and updating business and system requirements, user stories, use cases, API specifications, and other product artifacts. 
  • Analyzing payment processes – studying and modeling current processes, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing optimizations. 
  • Managing changes – processing, prioritizing, and integrating operational changes into the product backlog. 
  • Interacting with stakeholders – communicating with merchants, product, engineering, and UX teams to gather feedback and align requirements. 
  • Defining acceptance criteria – establishing clear acceptance criteria for new features, participating in testing and solution validation. 
  • Data and metrics analysis – monitoring key payment system metrics (conversion rate, declined transactions, processing time), identifying trends, and suggesting improvements. 
  • Working with API integrations – defining API requirements, testing integrations, and ensuring compatibility with other services. 
  • Competitive analysis – researching the market, studying best practices, and analyzing competitor offerings in payment solutions. 
  • Participating in UX research – testing user scenarios, analyzing interface usability, and enhancing customer experience. 
  • Hypothesis testing and A/B experiments – setting up experiments, validating hypotheses, and analyzing their impact on product and business metrics.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or a related role in Agile teams.
  • Deep understanding of payment systems, acquiring, PSPs (payment service providers), and payment orchestration.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and other requirement management tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and SDLC fundamentals.
  • Strong skills in documenting requirements: business and functional specifications, user stories, flowcharts.
  • Ability to analyze data, extract insights, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience working with APIs, understanding of REST, SOAP, and key integration principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with UX research and usability testing.
  • English proficiency at B2+ level for communication with international partners.
Nice to have:
  • Experience in FinTech, e-commerce, or other high-load B2B services.
  • Knowledge of SQL, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Amplitude).
  • Experience with A/B testing and customer behavior analysis.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps principles, and collaboration between analysts and engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (PCI DSS, PSD2, KYC/AML).
