The Team
The Production team at Ambercycle is expanding its ecosystem of partners within the polyester textile industry, focusing on developing strategic partnerships with textile mills, yarn, and fabric manufacturers in China.  

The Job
The Business Development Specialist will connect with and service T2 fabric mills in China. The role includes presenting Ambercycle's products, branding, and marketing guidelines to customers, as well as driving product development with cycora. 

Who You Might Be
We are seeking a driven and strategic individual to lead our efforts in developing partnerships with key players in the textile manufacturing industry in China. This person will leverage their passion for sustainability and textile recycling to create strong business opportunities. 

Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Engagement 
- Identify opportunities to meet company goals and mid-term objectives.   
- Support the Country Manager in China to achieve business targets.   
- Execute business development plans in alignment with go-to-market strategies.   
- Present cycora to T2 fabric mills of global retailers and brands.   
- Introduce Ambercycle's branding and marketing guidelines to customers.   
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the assigned territory, customer line plans, Ambercycle's product offerings, and competitive dynamics.   
- Provide market and customer insights to inform product development.   
- Provide accurate updates throughout the business development cycle to inform forecasts and support customer relationships.   
- Submit timely and accurate reports on business development activities, customer service issues, and follow-through on assigned initiatives.   
- Attend business development meetings and trade shows; deliver effective presentations to customers and colleagues.   
- Perform other duties as required or directed. 

Market Research & Analysis 
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics in target industries.   
- Analyze market data to develop insights and recommendations for new product development, market segmentation, and pricing strategies.   
- Monitor industry developments, including new technologies, regulations, and market entry barriers.   
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, R&D, and commercial) to ensure alignment and integration of business development activities. 

Project Management   
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and track progress.   
- Identify and resolve issues or risks that arise during project execution.   
- Communicate project updates and results to relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally. 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a relevant field; equivalent experience can be considered.   
  • 4+ years of relevant sales or business development experience.   
  • Experience managing and executing strategic projects, from concept to completion.   
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese, written and verbal.   
  • Ability to travel within China and occasionally to the U.S. and Europe. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex market data and develop actionable insights. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.   

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.   
  • In-depth knowledge of the textile, nonwoven, or fiber industry, including market trends, customer segments, and competitive landscape.   
  • Understanding of sustainability and environmental issues related to the fiber industry, and how Ambercycle’s products and solutions can address these challenges.
