The Coding Manager provides operation leadership by

• Planning, managing, and coordinating the coding activities for multi-specialty coding unit.
• Provide expert knowledge and analysis of payer and coding rules and regulations for both hospital and physician billing.
• Responsible for coordinating with clinical and administrative staff for coding related tasks.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and system enhancements to ensure accurate, efficient and compliant coding for medical records for billing and reporting.
• Provide reimbursement and coding data for reporting purposes.
• Analyze CMS and Medicaid regulations related to billing for hospital and multiple clinical specialties and implement processes to ensure compliance with regard to specific payer system requirements.
• Management duties include allocation of tasks to the reporting employees.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management Administration; Registered Health Information

Administrator certification or Associates Degree in Health Information Management; Registered Health

Information Technician certification

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management Administration; Registered Health Information

Administrator certification or Associates Degree in Health Information Management; Registered Health

Information Technician certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience in medical coding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
