About the role:

The main purpose to this role is to grow net new revenue through acquisition of new clients in the health industry and the development of strategic partnerships.

What you'll do:
  • Generate and qualify appropriate new business leads in accordance with the strategic plan
  • Manage the sales process for new prospects, from lead generation to proposals/requests for proposals. Work with potential clients prior to a signed proposal/agreement to set and manage expectations; communicate these to Chief Growth Officer
  • Participate and facilitate capabilities meetings and preparation with customized content to build compelling engagements
  • Partner closely with Chief Growth Officer and General Managers to ensure alignment on new business opportunities (net new and expansion with existing clients)
  • Participate in identification and development of relationships with strategic partners that will help drive revenue through direct business opportunities
  • Work closely with Chief Growth Officer and Marketing management team to define and fulfill annual and long-term business goals
  • Provide leadership to others involved in business development at Avalere Health, act as internal and external thought leader

  • About you:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a relevant field
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in business development with a demonstrated history of success in sales and achieving targets
  • Applies advanced sales skills and experience.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the industry, company services and client needs
  • Skilled in developing and managing sales plans, budgets and work plans
  • Demonstrates organized and outcome-focused management skills
  • Sets direction and ensures follow thorough.
  • Professionally and intelligently represents organization
  • Excels in developing and delivering presentations and written communication
  • Demonstrated experience building strong business relationships
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment; prioritizes and successfully manages multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously
  • Defines and resolves issues in a timely and accurate manner
