Social Media & Digital Marketing Expertise – Minimum 2.5-5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, and brand marketing, with proven results in audience growth and engagement. Graphic Design & Video Editing – Strong proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and video editing software to create high-quality social media visuals and reels. American English Proficiency – Excellent grammar, communication skills, and understanding of American English nuances to craft engaging, culturally relevant content. Cultural & Historical Knowledge – Deep understanding of African American history and the significance of soul food, ensuring authenticity in storytelling and community engagement. E-Commerce & Ad Campaign Experience – Hands-on experience running Meta ad campaigns, A/B testing, and audience segmentation to drive product sales and conversions. Strategic & Creative Thinking – Ability to develop innovative campaigns, think outside the box, and adapt content strategies based on data insights and industry trends.
Core responsibilities:
Content Creation & Strategy – Develop and execute a compelling content strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube to showcase the significance of African American cuisine and its historical contributions. Brand Cohesion & Visual Storytelling – Ensure consistency in messaging, branding, and visual aesthetics across all social media platforms, aligning content with the website and brand identity. Community Engagement & Growth – Engage with followers, respond to comments, and build an active online community that fosters discussions on soul food history, culture, and recipes. E-Commerce & Product Promotion – Market and promote products from websites (jackets, knives, mugs, BBQ sauces, rubs, smokers, and aprons) through creative campaigns, reels, and influencer collaborations. Historical & Cultural Storytelling – Educate audiences on the African American culinary legacy through well-researched posts, videos, and interactive content that preserves and honors its impact on American cuisine. Performance Tracking & Optimization – Monitor analytics, track engagement rates, and refine content strategies to increase social media reach and drive traffic to the website.
