The Process, Strategy & Governance Lead is responsible and accountable for overseeing the Product Approval Committee (PAC) approval process and managing the business unit’s Product Development Lifecycle Process. This role will work across multiple Business Units (BUs) and engage cross functionally with peers and executives. This includes active engagement and management of all aspects of the program including communication, status reporting, schedule definition and management of issues and risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the end-to-end process of product approvals, ensuring timely and thorough reviews by the committee.

  • Leads the product development lifecycle process from ideation through development and into launch while ensuring all stages meet HPE delivery standards.

  • Oversees and ensuring all program deliverables are released and align with applicable milestones and completion criteria.

  • Partners with Product Management to understand the market, customer requirements, product area/roadmap, roadmap dependencies & targeted technical needs.

  • Identifies potential risks in the product development process and implementing strategies to mitigate them.

  • Communicates program changes and updates proactively and effectively – verbally and in writing, while working to create simple messaging for complex topics. 

  • Manages cross-functional teams, working with peers to establish and strengthen relationships that foster communication and a sense of teamwork. 

  • Provides clear, timely and objective communications.

  • Documents and communicates the product approval process and lifecycle management for audit and review purposes.

  • Leads through ambiguity and change and being an advocate for process improvement initiatives and ideas. 

  • Exhibits strong leadership skills, including coaching, team- building, and conflict resolution.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is a plus

  • Experience managing a variety of business or product development programs is a plus.

  • PMP certification is a plus

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams interdependently.

  • Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently.

  • Manages complex project objectives

  • Business acumen and strategic agility with demonstrated technical cognizance.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.

  • Good understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle process and the various execution milestones associated with

  • Ability to independently draft and present deliverables, recommendations, and communication strategies.

  • Superior group facilitation, interviewing, and influence skills.

  • Proficiency in and use of program and product management tools such as Smartsheet, Aha! (nice to have) and other programs.

  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.

  • Constant desire to improve self, the process, and help the team through the lifecycle continuum.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. USD Annual Salary: $148,000.00 - $340,500.00
